Description:

Modern extension to existing building in the middle of farmland. Client’s brief dictated a strong contrast between the old and new. Modern sketch design resulted in final design which was granted full planning permission. South facing with emphasis on light into main working areas. Two No. Modern dwelling houses designed to client’s requirements which include minimum glazing to main road to minimise traffic noises to southern house. Houses are very different with distinct similarities.

Refurbishment and renovation of existing outbuildings  to the rear of Ballycunneen House, which is on the record of protected structures (detached 3-bay, 2-storey over basement house, ca. 1800).

We are a small design practice with approximately 30 years’ experience having worked on a variety of projects. We have been involved in the design of small, medium and large scale housing developments. We have designed houses tailored to client requirements specific to the site. We have prepared designs for public houses, cafes and restaurants. We have completed a retrofit of an early 1800 house using natural insulation suited to the application with airtightness as a priority. We have completed extensions to existing houses being sympathetic to the existing building and it's environment.
